Meet Victoria
Hi, I’m Victoria Antwi 👋 — an Assistant Professor and Research and Learning Librarian with a passion for equity, ethics, and innovation in knowledge work. I help students, educators, and institutions navigate the opportunities and challenges of emerging technologies, with a focus on artificial intelligence and information literacy.
I’m the author of Evaluating AI-Generated Content: A Practical Guide for Educators, Librarians, and Information Professionals (2025), a resource designed to equip readers with the tools to evaluate AI outputs critically, ethically, and effectively. If you haven't read my book yet, visit my store now!
I come from Nsuta-Atonsu in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, and my academic journey has taken me across continents. I hold a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, following my undergraduate degree in Information Science (major) and Political Science (minor) at the University of Ghana. I also studied law for two years at MountCrest University College, Ghana’s premier private law faculty.
I’m proud to be a Kufuor Scholars Program alumna, a commitment maker at the Clinton Foundation, and an active volunteer with NGOs like the Care for Humanity Initiative Foundation, Ghana. Alongside my academic path, I’ve worked as a Graduate Assistant at the iSchool Help Desk, a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ghana, and an Administrative Assistant at Horsham Education Consult.
Beyond the classroom and research, I run a YouTube channel — Victoria’s HelpDesk — where I share resources, tutorials, and reflections. I love people, public speaking, and learning new things, and I believe in doing what I love while striving to make a difference.
My long-term dream? To become a Professor, contributing research in digital media, information literacy, library law and ethics, knowledge management, and e-resources. I also envision blending my passion for education and law, teaching, practicing, and inspiring wherever I can.
